One of our favorite fall traditions, and one we look forward to all year, is going to the Pumpkin Patch! There is a quiet little place called The Berry Ranch not far from our house that we like to go. The Berry Ranch supplies all the pumpkins for all the Walmart's in our area, so I guess I can't really say "little" can I? We ride a wagon out the the field and choose our pumpkins.
The kids are allowed to choose any pumpkin they wish (as long as they can carry it themselves) for a flat fee.
Kaite was completely satisfied with a little one. She said she "loved it soooo much!"
The older girls agonized a bit longer over their decisions. Kalli found a HUGE, TALL orange pumpkin and fell in love with it, but coulden't quite get it off the ground, let alone all the way back to the wagon. Kayla found a pretty green pumpkin that she wanted, it was smaller, so in sweet sisterly fashion, they carried each other's pumpkins!
Kaite leaning against daddy and enjoying the ride. She has recently started the goofy grin thing.
Kammy is a farm girl through and through.

See? I told you it was a big one!
All my little punkins. Sometimes a bit scary, but mostly sweet. =)
The hubby and I. (Hubby is on my RIGHT.) =)Love me a day on the farm!
"There seem to be but three ways for a nation to acquire wealth. The first is by war, as the Romans did, in plundering their conquered neighbors. This is robbery. The second by commerce, which is generally cheating. The third by agriculture, the only honest way, wherein man receives a real increase of the seed thrown into the ground, in a kind of continual miracle, wrought by the hand of God in his favor, as a reward for his innocent life and his virtuous industry."
- Benjamin Franklin
