Little man is four weeks old already! He's been a pretty good baby so far. For some reason, we have never been blessed with "good" babies, just CUTE ones! =)
The little outfit he is wearing is one we got for Kayla 15 years ago before we knew she was a girl. It's out of season, but I put it on him just long enough for a picture. It's been quite cold here (hovering near 0) for about a week and we have had snow on the ground for some time.
I'm seeing a little accidental wink and a smile in this picture, but I won't say anything because we all know that babies don't really smile until around 6 weeks, right?
I'm feeling good. Tired, but that is to be expected when you up up every 3 hours for an hour. He's really so sweet that I can't be upset with him for long. In fact, I still thank God for his safe arrival and my health almost every time I look in his little face. I didn't say a lot about it, but we had a very complicated pregnancy. Two stress tests and an ultrasound every week....worrying about growth and developmental problems made it stressful for me to say the least. After he was born, my dr said that even at 3 weeks early, I could not have lasted much longer. The uterine scar from my previous 3 surgeries was stretched to the max and could have burst had he gotten any bigger or my fluid levels been any higher! I am so thankful for God's hand on us both and the wisdom of my doctor who knew just the best time to take him!
Kaderick loves his room! He's content to just lay and look around quite often. He did not have a crib mobile, and all the ones we liked were around $90 to $120. Seriously??? For a crib mobile??? Anyway, daddy and I decided to make him one that can grow with him and was much more economical.
Daddy went down by the creek and got a branch and we hung little forest animals from it. The animals came from Cabalas and are detachable so he can keep them always. Total price was $18. Much easier on the pocketbook and Kaderick loves it too!
