Sometimes life seems like a whirlwind of dishes, schoolwork, dirty socks, shopping lists and hair to comb. I really wish I wasn't such a person of schedule--one who has to have it all done NOW. Saturday, my husband finally convinced me to let some of it go and accompany him to the shooting range. It was cold and windy, but the scenery was lovely.
The lake is still frozen in places.
The fields that lay between us and the Owyhee Mountains.
The shooting range is only about 14 miles from our house and I just snapped these pictures with the iphone as we were driving along. We met my parents out there and afterwards drove into town for pie and coffee with them. We really don't take time to do these things often enough.
Afterwards, we were going into one store to do a little window shopping. As I mentioned, it was a very cold and windy day and we were all trying to hurry. Kaite's biggest sister opened her door and she was leaning right against it. Kaite fell out of our Yukon on her head. It was a freefall, unbroken. Long story short--she got a little concussion from it. She is doing fine now and we are thankful it wasn't worse!
She was soooo brave and good!
And last but not least--our ever growing little boy blue. He has so much personality these days, We love to hear him laugh and squeal, but he can be so somber at times too.
