For Father's Day this year, the girls and I made a shirt cake. I have to tell you...I have looked at this idea for years and just finally got up the courage to try it myself. I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was! Excuse me for saying so, but ours also turned out better than about half of the examples I saw.
My girls have such an awesome and fun daddy! He loves his girls! He told me once that the very worst part about having girls was that someday he would have to give them away to a man and he knew there would never be a man good enough!
I know...I use the below picture a lot, but I love it!
"Spread the diaper in the position of the diamond with you at bat. Then fold second base down to home and set the baby on the pitcher's mound. Put first base and third together bring up home plate and pin the three together. Of course in case of rain, you gotta call the game and start all over again!"
~Jimmy Piersal on how to diaper a baby, 1968
My daddy is pretty awesome too!
"My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it!"
~Clarence Buddington Kelland
Here is a picture of the card my girls made for their daddy.
"You have all the tools to be a great dad!"
"You're level headed, you're sharp as a tack, you make sure we measure up, you hold us tight when we are scared, you hammer us back in shape when we do wrong, and...sometimes you're just a little nutty!"
