Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Day was beautiful, windy, delicious, cold, and so very thankful. We spent the day at my partners, enjoyed a delicious meal, played games, went on a walk and decorated grandma's Christmas tree.
Hunting!
We all spent a few days at hunting camp this fall. Kalli had a two point tag that we were unable to fill because all the deer were too big and then later, Rick had a big buck tag and all he and m dad could could find on that trip, was a little two point. We all had a great time though and that's what counts!
Last bit of Summer
As summer faded away, you could find us busily putting away canned goods and decorating for fall....when we weren't getting a start of fall lessons, that is.

Hawaii
Rick recently had to travel to Hawaii for business. His company was kind enough to give him a nice travel allowance enabling us to take some of the family along. Kayla felt like she needed to stay here and work and help grandma (especially on dialysis days) so we gave the rest of the kids the option to stay or go. Kaite hates to travel because she gets so sick and Kammy didn't want to leave Kaite without a playmate, so she chose to stay home too. That left Kalli, Kaderick and myself boarding the plane along with daddy for the very long trip across the ocean. We were there about 2 1/2 weeks. We didn't have a ton of play time because this was a working trip after all, but the weekends were ours and Independence Day as well. We were able to get in a little shopping, lots of beach time, a tour of Pearl Harbor, Dole Pineapple Plantation, a hike in the real jungle, local farmers markets and some fine Hawaiian dining experiences.
