Kaite is Eight!

 

I said, "Kaite is eight! Ain't that great?"

"No, mommy. It's Isn't that great, Because technically, ain't isn't a word."

She chose a ladybug party, and she wanted it outside, because ladybugs are outside! We ended up settling for part of it outside. There were scattered showers, that we kept dodging.

 

 

I've always called her my little Kaiterbug.

 

 

She's such a little princess!

 

 

You can really see those green eyes in this photo. She's my only green eyed baby. The others have daddy's blue eyes.

 

 

She got twin babies from Grampapa fro Christmas and has had so much fun with them. There names are Pentelope and Percy. She requested clothes for them for her birthday--they spent several months in pj's--and Gramma also made them little blankets.

 

 

 

She looks like such a busy little momma. You just gotta know that coffee it what keeps her going!

Kalli made and mommy decorated her red velvet ladybug cupcakes.

 

With daddy and little brother. Little brother proudly sporting a black eye. He did so well with his job of handing Kaite her gifts.

This is where we ended up doing most of her partying. It was delightful in the gazebo! We LOVE this spot!

 

 

She got this sweet lilla rose flexi clip for her hair. These have been such a life-saver for my long-haired girls! They are pretty much indestructible and so comfy and easy on the hair.

 

 

Ladybug cracker snacks made with cream cheese, cherry tomato, a bit of olive and some dill for grass.

Also on the menu was mommy's homemade fried chicken, lots of fruit and of course, those red velvet ladybug cupcakes. Kaderick thought it was his duty to eat every bug at the party. (No, we didn't allow that.)

We finished off the festivities with coffee and hot chocolate in the gazebo. I found this sweet cup for her at the thrift shop.

 

We dearly love this little lady-bug!
