Little man is four weeks old already! He's been a pretty good baby so far. For some reason, we have never been blessed with "good" babies, just CUTE ones! =)
The little outfit he is wearing is one we got for Kayla 15 years ago before we knew she was a girl. It's out of season, but I put it on him just long enough for a picture. It's been quite cold here (hovering near 0) for about a week and we have had snow on the ground for some time.
I'm seeing a little accidental wink and a smile in this picture, but I won't say anything because we all know that babies don't really smile until around 6 weeks, right?
I'm feeling good. Tired, but that is to be expected when you up up every 3 hours for an hour. He's really so sweet that I can't be upset with him for long. In fact, I still thank God for his safe arrival and my health almost every time I look in his little face. I didn't say a lot about it, but we had a very complicated pregnancy. Two stress tests and an ultrasound every week....worrying about growth and developmental problems made it stressful for me to say the least. After he was born, my dr said that even at 3 weeks early, I could not have lasted much longer. The uterine scar from my previous 3 surgeries was stretched to the max and could have burst had he gotten any bigger or my fluid levels been any higher! I am so thankful for God's hand on us both and the wisdom of my doctor who knew just the best time to take him!
Kaderick loves his room! He's content to just lay and look around quite often. He did not have a crib mobile, and all the ones we liked were around $90 to $120. Seriously??? For a crib mobile??? Anyway, daddy and I decided to make him one that can grow with him and was much more economical.
Daddy went down by the creek and got a branch and we hung little forest animals from it. The animals came from Cabalas and are detachable so he can keep them always. Total price was $18. Much easier on the pocketbook and Kaderick loves it too!

Kaderick is absolutely gorgeous!!! Hard to believe it's already been four weeks. A gorgeous and good healthy baby, what else could you ask for?
God is good.

Karen, Thank you for your nice comment on my blog. We do have a lot of OVERWHELMING days ahead of us (others really can't come in and help us SORT every thing we own =( But Jesus will help us...He did in 2004.
Just got our tickets TODAY, to fly home to the USA on March 12th, Lord willing.
We are SO EXCITED (our kids haven't seen our family for over 2 years)...yet SAD to leave our Colombian people.
Cute pics of your new little buddy. That was a sweet outfit you had him in...special he got to wear something you've had for a long time.
Sorry he's not sleeping lots, my babies weren't great at that either.
SO GLAD for God's protection on you and Kaderick. SCARY! Glad your doctor took him when he did. I was PRAYING!
Loved the little smiley box thingy your husband put together down below. Very appropriate song..."Little boy, Don't you think it's time you were in bed?" =D (I Have that Statler brother's Christmas tape.)
Take care, I'll pray he'll sleep better, so you can sleep too.
Blessings,
~Heather~
Forgot to say, y'all did a good job making his Cute mobile. =)

So glad that your little man is doing so well...he is such a handsome little guy:) Wish that I could give him a little squeeze. Glad to hear that you are on the mend,....
He's so cute! And I love the mobile - very creative!
Kaderick is such a beautiful baby. I'm thankful, too, that your doctor was wise in his decisions. His mobile is adorable. It's fun saving money and having the end product turn out like we want.
