Almost Spring

As February quickly slips away, and the snow continues to fall, I am finding myself looking forward to spring. I'm ready for tulips and spring breezes. Cabin fever hits little boys pretty hard this time of year. He wants to be out riding his bike and playing in the sandbox. One of his favorite activities and one that keeps him busy, sometimes for hours on end are his plus plus toys. He builds some pretty amazing things out of these little toys. I have highly recommended these to several of my friends with little boys.

 

We have a limit on computer time, but here he is asking, "May I please use the computer, question mark." See the question mark he's making with his finger?

 

 

Kaite wrote a "song" the other day and I found it on her little table in her room. I like the part where it says, "Inspired by the car....It's a long story." Evidently there was a car ride in the rain at some point and boredom turned to inspiration. lol.

 

 

The flooring is finally down at Grampapa's house in Greenleaf! I'm so excited for them! It looks so nice along with all the new paint etc.

 

 

Our big #21 Anniversary splurge was dinner out! Seriously, it's been so long we almost forgot how to eat out. lol

 

 

Excuse the goofy expressions, but this has to do since this silly selfie is the only photo of us on this momentous occasion.

 

 

We went to The Melting Pot in Boise. It's a yummy fondue restaurant where you even cook your own meat and veggies right at your table. 

 

 

 

We gifted each other with a carpet shampooer. Now I can shampoo carpets to my hearts content and Rick can, well....he can know he made me happy I guess.

 

Speaking of cleaning, I was deep cleaning Kadericks room the other day and he came along and watched for a while and then said, "My room is getting some ministry."

 

Lastly, this random thought....

Have you ever wondered why would the Bible say in Romans 8:24,
“For we are saved by HOPE....”

Aren't we saved by FAITH?
Isn’t it a bit disrespectful or disbelieving to say we “hope” someone is saved or gets saved, we “hope” they make it?
We know that an individual cannot be saved by “hoping.”
According to Gills Commentary, “not that hope is the CAUSE of salvation, but the MEANS by which man is brought to the enjoyment of it.” ...
Hope always precedes faith and often begets it.
In our prayers for others to be saved, we can hope, and wait with patience, but that person must have the faith themselves.
Verse 25 But if we HOPE for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
