Project time and a 5 month old boy!

My husband came home with a pallet the other day, that looked just like a flag. Well, sort of. I knew right away what I wanted to do with it. I had the white and blue paint, so for the cost of a can of red spray paint, this is what we came up with. It was super fast and fun--just the kind of project I love!

My daughter's dog helped me got in my way, but when we were all done, he was pretty proud and wanted his picture taken by it....almost like he really thought he did help.

Little Boy Blue is 5 months old now. He weighs 18.5 pounds. He rolls everywhere and can sit when he's not too busy trying to crawl! He's had his first cold and it's nearly broken my heart! We have all taken a turn with it and I think aside from some lingering coughs, might be mostly on the mend now.

The girls are done with another school year!  Their SAT grades came back, and I am so proud of the job they did! They all tested above grade level by a few years--or more!

Now I will have all kinds of free time. Haha! Not really! We have planted a garden again and I have lots of other projects to catch up on. I decided to tackle the most unpleasant today. Mending.

Mostly, I am excted for the time out of doors. Camping sounds WONDERFUL about now! I have to remember that just because I am out of a "job" for a few months, does not mean my husband is. Smile.
How about you? What does your summer schedule hold?

I'm joining Finished Object Friday here at the Chari Tree.

Love the flag! (and the very pleased pooch in the pic) We have a stash of old pallets that are begging to be turned into something fun - maybe that should be on my summer list!

I really love the flag... and now I want one.:) It's such a cool idea!! Can't believe the little man is 5 months old...My sister has a little girl almost the same age, and she just got her first cold too.... Not fun!! :(

Karen, I love your flag you made. Too Cute! Very festive.

And your little blue boy is cute too. I love his "chubbiness." =) Glad he's doing better than when I talked to you the other day. It's always SAD to have your baby feeling icky.

Happy Memorial Day

Cute flag! And the dog is so cute sitting there beside it. Your baby is adorable, so cute and chubby. Congratulations on your girls SAT scores, my daughter says that she has had several children in sunday school who were home schooled and they were far and above the most intelligent and bright kids in her classes. They were one reason why she has chosen to homeschool her two children. Is taking the SAT test mandatory in Idaho? I will ask her if she has had her two tested.
Have a wonderful day in the house of the Lord!
